Making masks was amazing. We drew a design. First we covered the balloons with paper maiche. Then we had to wait until they were dry before we painted them. When the paint was dry we decorated them with material, pipe cleaners, wool, straws, coloured paper, plastic and cardboard to make ears, noses, teeth, eyes, eye lashes, hair, mouths, lips and tongues.
Our masks were amazing, fantastic, excellent, stupendous, fabulous and we are so very proud of them.

TOADSTOOLS!
Mrs Hack gave us some toadstools. Mrs Short thinks they came from Mrs McMurray's house because she has seen some there before. There were two. One was big and the second one was small. It starts off like a little ball. As it grows on it's long white stalk it slowly opens up like a plate. The plate is covered with white spots like the measles. It's very poisonous and it is bright reddy orange to tell us. Underneath the plate it looks like pieces of paper they are called gills. The spores drop down from the gills into the ground and another toadstool grows again. They were amazing. We watched a video showing how the toadstool grows. They looked fantastic seeing them grow in time lapse photography. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CPCFV46HDs
